Avalon Fisher is a Creative Play and Attachment Therapist, DDP trainee, and Clinical Supervisor.

As a creative play therapist, she offers safe, confidential, non-judgemental play therapy spaces for children on a one to one basis, in their individual schools, or an alternative setting.

As a creative attachment therapist and DDP trainee, Avalon offers therapeutic sessions for children and their parents/carers to support their relationship, attachment bond, and promote positive interactions; whilst working through any relationship difficulties. Avalon has experience working with birth families, adopted families, foster families, and children who live in special guardianship families.

Avalon offers support for a wide range of referrals such as emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties, attachment difficulties, or experiences of trauma, or loss. She is dedicated to building the self-esteem, self-understanding, and emotional well-being of children, and their families. She also offers parent and carer sessions with the aim to build their therapeutic parenting skills and support their understanding of their children’s behaviour.

As a clinical supervisor Avalon offers creative supervision in a safe, confidential space to both trainee and experienced play therapists, as well as those looking for supervision in other modalities such as social work and teaching.

Avalon is a registered member of Play Therapy UK (PTUK) and an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is also registered with the DDP Network as a trainee in the process of completing her practicum. She is based in North Bristol.

Avalon recently changed her name through marriage so the register may still reflect her previous name Thomas until it gets updated.
